As my standard way to go, I prefer to ask my questions (and for any querent to ask theirs, for that matter) as "What is the best course of action to achieve my desired outcome?", I find that asking about the future tends to act like a self-inflicted curse if the cards are less than positive. Besides, I prefer to think of the future as non-fixed in general.

I believe that tarot reveals what is already energetically manifested; however, everything is constantly changing, nothing is permanent.

I have had good and accurate results with divinations using both runes and tarot.
Just remember cast long divine short. You can't expect any other rituals or magic you are attempting to influence the future if it is all preconceived!
The idea is that every path is preconceived, but which paths you take are not.

When it comes to future predictions, it’s usually just one possible scenario. And the further out you go, the less realistic it is to assume nothing will change.
Or you get very specific predictions that do come true—but it’s unclear what you’re supposed to do with that information.
For example, I once told a colleague: “Within a month, you’ll learn a secret about your partner that will change everything.”
A month later, she found out her partner had secretly bought an apartment. They broke up. She said the prediction came true—but what was the point? How is that actually useful?
Same with long-term predictions: someone is told years in advance they’ll receive a gift—who it’s from, what it is, even details about it. And yes, years later it happens exactly like that.
But again—so what? It doesn’t change anything. At best, it’s mildly interesting.
And I’m not even getting into self-fulfilling prophecy here.
