Learn from my error: You are arguing with a deranged individual.
I was attempting a cure. A spiritual cure. "Agave spirits," to be precise.

Everyone is their own gender at all times.

Are they any good?
You're the Texican, no? I'm talking simple tequila, cactus whiskey. Good? Powerful spirits, but with a strong Cthulu character.

I suppose the cactus whiskey could be interesting.
They say half the stories in Huntsville begin with a fifth of Jose Cuervo and a quarter second's impulse.

Mezcal.

Anyways, the topic title itself seems a bit confusing. "Gender Ideology Thread" as in the Ideology of Gender itself? As in an individuals' sex, or their orientation, or their persuasion?

The term probably refers to a discourse that took place in some of the literature, and the right-wing reaction to it.

i took it as a lesson in modern ways of looking at what is a gender. i looked it up and now a days they label over more then 100 forms, while i only knew hetero, homo and bi.

I'm a staunch "feminist" (in whatever capacity egalitarian for all parties regardless will apply to that), and my wife was a SATM for almost a year before our finances required her to return. I think being so "liberated" that you are forced into the workplace is actually just another form of oppression, but what do I know

i totally agree. ive had problems to make a happy home due to words like job ( wasnt he gods prophet who got tortured cause god and the devil had an argument) and as a housewife living at the workplace and then having to be liberated cause thats slavery. these days im being attacked cause i take care of my husband. like when i went to the dentist and i told her medical stuff about my husband, cause im the caretaker and i really know more. they asked if i wouldnt come anymore. the other way around goes just as fast btw. i like to cook and i often have burnspots on my hands and arms. im always asked if im abused.

we choose to be poor. ive had a similar struggle.

I'm 57 and am old school by any stretch of the imagination. Having said that I'll say this: While I have very definite opinions about gender that I feel are right and appropriate I really don't care about how any other adult may choose to dress and act. Everyone should have the right to live in peace.

I do have an issue when someone insists that I deny what my own eyes tell me and misuse the language I was raised on. Anyone like that can kiss my cajones. I can treat a person with basic human respect and value their skills without changing the way I speak or think.

Now, If I was in the market for a mate or even a hook up I would be extremely angry if someone intentionally mislead me concerning their biological gender. Especially, if I didn't find out until we were being physically intimate. To my way of thinking, that would be sexual assault upon me. Because I would have never consented to anything had I been made aware. That really wouldn't end well.

Having said that, I have a trans child in their early twenties who lives in my home. I love them and never harass them. I know how they feel about things and they know how I feel and we treat each other with honest respect. I do not use their preferred gender tag. What I do do out of respect is not use gender tags when speaking with them. I address them by a childhood nickname we both find acceptable.

That kinda sums up my perspective. Now when you speak of gender from an occult perspective. I've mostly worked on balancing my own masculine and feminine energies. Though I did do a modified great rite with a female disciple where we symbolically inverted masculine and feminine energies with the chalice and the blade. I am also more often drawn toward goddesses than gods. I even prefer, most times, their darker energies. I mentioned in a different post that I lean heavily to being a devotee of Sunna the Norse Sun Goddess. I know her in her aspect as the Black Sun. (Don't get Cranky with me, I know The S.S. used that term and I don't give a rat's posterior about that. What I'm talking about is different.) You could define the Black Sun as the energy that brings the destruction that is necessary for rebirth and growth. I know her like that.

As far as group rituals go, I've already described the only one I had where gender had a great deal of focus.

I have one around the house. a small wooden medallion that I burned. It is a beautiful symbol, but I use a black sun like the Japanese one except black. I have a mala that I made for Sunna. I was going to post a pic, but apparently you can't load one directly.
