Similar to Jinn, I'm sure that Succubus/Incubus have a range of types and interests, and there are good and bad just like with human beings and other entities. Lumping all of them into evil, or as useless, or as draining only, is rather biased.
For those who believe in angels or other entities, and study the literature or get feedback from other altered states, you know they have levels, skills, interests, and purposes that are very different in their own ranks. Some entities are proposed to be the offspring of Lilith, the first woman that was rejected by the misogynistic Adam, making them our cousins. Some entities have residence in other dimensions with completely different lives and mindsets, not all of them evil or manipulative. It has been reported that we can even create offspring together with Jinn, and that working relationships have been formed with them.
Many human beings are evil and manipulative, many are not.
There are also our own shadow forms that we can have relationships with, parts of ourselves that have their own memories and personality.
So determining what it is, and the intent of the relationship, and the true nature of the entity, sounds like an interesting journey.

I never really worked with succubi/incubi in my practice tbh.
Not cuz I think they’re bad or anything, just my work is more like… structure, geometry, foundations etc, so anything super emotional or kinda chaotic doesn’t really fit how I build my stuff. So I just didn’t call them in the first place.That’s why threads like this are interesting for me. People have totally different experiences with these beings and it’s kinda cool to see the whole range, not just one opinion.
I’m mostly reading out of curiosity, just to see how other ppl describe their contact with them.

I think they are loving and kind beings who will always look out for their lovers. I see others calling them parasitic or evil but this is far from the truth. If you've been in a relationship with a loving succubus or incubus you will know they are not parasitic nor evil. They should not be ostracized but rather loved and welcomed if they show an interest in you.

I do not think there is anything inherently harmful or shameful in intimacy between a magician/sorcerer and their familiar or godmothers/fathers, patrons etc.

She just came to me on her own, likely since childhood or before I was even born. Though I do remember having an interest in succubi as a kid (weird I know) and maybe she took advantage that. The first step here is to show an interest in them and I think you will eventually get one too.

Especially if one has had a beneficial relationship with a spirit for a long time, esp. since childhood. Strong bonds and soul-sharing are a per-requisite for Familiar work, anyway. And children will often view the spirit companion as an intimate confidant, bonding with them like a sibling, a secret crush, best friend, and with puberty probably become aware of erotic elements that happen in such magickal exchanges. How far that goes should be keyed into your own sensibilities.
I will agree that there are highly malevolent and harmful spirits that are "succubi", and will be using a person or just "bang and run", taking your energy with them. Encounters like the Night Hag visitations, are legendarily frightening and often debilitating.

In the case of Shaman, the bond seems a true and lasting one, where both entities; spirit and sorcerer are evolved in the process of Learning from each other. There are myriad ways of interacting with Spirits, and the experiences vary just as much. Do I find it weird he is energy banging a familiar spirit he has a deep connection to and evokes in him erotic thoughts and magick? NO.
She is his ride-or-die on the Wyrding Way, judging how he feels and acts on that is just immature. The nature of this spirit is his to know. And sure the "leave Britney alone!" vibe of some of the posts were a bit funny, but still no reason to preach morality to a fellow seeker.

Disclaimer: Always be safe in your interaction with spirits, if you can. No encounter is alike, be smart, keep your wards up, do not trust or promise lightly. Building these relationships is a process, do not rush and make sure the interactions are to each others benefit. Do mistakes and misjudgements happen? Sure. Often even. Maybe you end up getting devoured by something that seemed a beneficial entity. But you wouldn't be doing magick in the first place, if you were not prepared for such risks.

And in another interesting actual case experience:

In his 2001 work, Persinger specifically highlighted a case of a woman reporting nightly apparitions/visitations, where the "demon" was traced back to her alarm clock located on her bedside table.

She was a devout Catholic, and was being raped nightly by what she referred to as a demon. When Professor Persinger and his crew investigated, they found that the alarm clock radio next to her bed was producing fluctuating electromagnetic signals that were affecting her right brain.
By removing the clock radio, the nightly raping demon never appeared again.

We have two possible scenarios that I can think of. In one, the electromagnetics emanating from the clock radio were making it possible for the incubus to appear and rape this woman nightly. So, operating like a portal.
In the other, the electromagnetics were stimulating her right-side creative mind to possibly fulfill her own subconscious desires. Desires that she was likely suppressing for whatever religious belief or reasoning.

In another case, it also ended up being a faulty ground in the home. Once that was fixed, there were no more apparitions.

So we suddenly know that we can either make people hallucinate with electrical or electromagnetic forces, or that these forces are making it possible for these entities to appear and interact with us.

Well..., historically these phenomena predate modern "electricity" by centuries if not millennia! I don't discount those examples of electrical and RF factors playing a part in "some" cases at all. There's also the problem of "monks and nuns" being cloistered, horny and naturally delusional, sex is one powerful force to deal with. There is no "one size fits all" in something like this. Some of the cases are exactly what "some" people have claimed: some form of "spirit" interaction.
As an engineer I find the possibility of something like EMF / RF or even ELF playing a part in this not out of the equation at all.
